Our Academy helps riders grow from their first lessons into capable, confident horsemen who understand not just how to ride, but why it matters.
Students learn through a balance of structured riding lessons, hands-on care, and guided horsemanship education. Every student participates in grooming, tacking, and groundwork — building awareness, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility.
We offer group horsemanship lessons twice per month, where students explore topics like equine behavior, biomechanics, and safe handling. Individual horsemanship sessions are also available for riders who want more one-on-one learning and skill development.
For students interested in showing, our in-house schooling shows provide the perfect opportunity to gain experience in a supportive and educational environment. Riders learn how to prepare, perform, and show with confidence and sportsmanship — lessons that extend far beyond the arena.
The Academy’s tiered lesson programs — from The Weekender to The Achiever — are designed to grow with each student, offering structure and progression at every level.
As riders advance, they not only refine their technique but also develop focus, resilience, and compassion — skills that last a lifetime.

Introductory Lessons
Designed for new students to experience our teaching style and philosophy before enrolling. These sessions focus on balance, communication, and developing an early understanding of how your position and intention influence your horse. - $85 each - Up to 3 introductory lessons before enrolling in a package.
Horsemanship Lessons
Ground-based sessions that build the foundation for everything done in the saddle. Students learn handling, grooming, and groundwork techniques that foster trust, clarity, and respect — helping them become true horsemen, not just riders.- $65 — offered twice per month as group lessons for our program members, private lessons available on request.
Training Programs
The Weekender
Perfect for riders balancing school, work, or other commitments. This package allows consistent weekly training while maintaining flexibility. Students stay engaged and continue developing their skills without feeling rushed.

For riders ready to take the next step in their journey. With more frequent lessons, this program supports steady progress in both riding and horsemanship — ideal for those seeking refinement, confidence, and a deeper connection with their horse.

The Achiever
Designed for dedicated riders pursuing long-term goals in competition or advanced training. This package provides the consistency, structure, and individualized support needed to develop precision, strength, and mental focus in both horse and rider.

Our Philosophy
At Speak Kindly, we teach more than how to ride — we teach how to understand.

Our Lesson Program is a welcoming entry point for beginner to novice riders looking to develop a strong foundation in both riding and horsemanship. Whether you are brand new to horses or returning after time away, this program is designed to build confidence, skill, and a deeper understanding of equine care and communication.
A Strong Start for New Riders
Each student begins with a few trial lessons, allowing us to get to know your goals, experience, and learning style. From there, we offer monthly packages that include 2 to 4 sessions per week, and twice monthly group horsemanship lessons.
Program Highlights
Private Lessons: All instruction is one-on-one, allowing for individualized attention and a pace that suits each rider’s confidence and progress.
Lesson Horses Available: Students are thoughtfully matched with experienced school horses that help them learn safely and effectively.
Horsemanship Education: Riders participate in grooming, tacking, and daily care routines before and after each lesson to deepen their understanding of their horse and become more knowledgeable and capable caretakers.
Progressive Curriculum: As students grow in ability, lessons evolve to include more advanced flatwork, introduction to poles and small gymnastics, and problem-solving exercises to build independent thinking.
Our Academy is not just about learning to ride — it’s about learning to understand and communicate with the horse. It’s an excellent first step toward joining our Full Training Program or simply becoming a capable, confident horse person.
